About Me

Background & Qualifications

I am a registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT #153456) and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC #18830) in California. My journey into therapy began with a deep curiosity about the mind-body connection. I first studied Kinesiology at Arizona State University, where I developed a strong foundation in how the body functions. During that time, I met my husband, and as we built our family, I devoted myself to raising our three sons.

As my children grew older, I felt called to deeper healing practices, leading me to immerse myself in yoga and meditation at Konalani Ashram, where I became a certified teacher. Through years of teaching and personal practice, I witnessed the profound impact of mindfulness and body-centered work, inspiring me to expand my path into clinical psychology. I earned my Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and gained hands-on experience as a trainee therapist in community mental health, supporting individuals through complex challenges.

Now, I integrate these experiences to help individuals and families navigate both personal mental health struggles and relational dynamics. By combining mindfulness, somatic techniques, and a holistic therapeutic approach, I support clients in deepening self-awareness, strengthening connections, and creating meaningful, lasting change.

Approach to Therapy

I take a humanistic,person-centered, holistic approach to therapy, integrating somatic practices, mindfulness, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques. I believe healing happens through connection—within ourselves, our relationships, and our communities. By blending traditional psychotherapy with body-based awareness, I help clients regulate emotions, process past experiences, and make changes to live their lives more authentically. My sessions provide a compassionate and supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to create meaningful change.

Personal Journey & Philosophy

My personal experiences have profoundly shaped my approach to therapy. Growing up in a complex family environment, I witnessed firsthand the impact of trauma, resilience, and healing. After spending two decades raising my children, I discovered a passion for guiding others through life’s transitions. My path—from parenting to holistic wellness to clinical psychology—has given me a deep appreciation for the interconnectedness of mental, emotional, and physical well-being. I believe that with the right support, everyone has the ability to heal, grow, and thrive.

Who I Help

I specialize in working with parents, families, adolescents, and women navigating major life transitions. My work includes supporting individuals struggling with parenting challenges, family dynamics, personal transitional changes, and the mental health impacts of trauma. Whether you are seeking guidance for yourself, your teen, or your family, I offer a safe space for exploration, healing, and transformation.
